Pregnant Women at Risk: Health Ministry Statement

In recent months, due to an overall increase in COVID-19 cases, reports of deaths related to COVID-19 during pregnancy have sharply risen. This was reported by the Ministry of Health of Armenia.

Pregnant women are considered a risk group for the severe progression of the COVID-19 disease, as well as for the development of complications during pregnancy. The risk of premature birth is also increasing.

“Get vaccinated and take steps to protect yourself from COVID-19,” the Ministry’s Facebook post stated.
