Ministry of Defense: Process for Purchasing Homes for Military Personnel

The Central Housing Commission of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia has issued a statement regarding the housing registration process for long-serving military pensioners.

"The process of providing state financial support for the purchase of a house or residential apartment continues for former military personnel registered with the right to housing, who have been discharged from military service according to the established procedure and in accordance with the decision No. 540-N of the Government of Armenia dated May 10, 2019," the statement reads.

Those who are still on the housing registration waitlist in the regions of Armenia and have not updated their housing cases are once again requested to submit the following documents to the General Department of Social Security and Housing of the Ministry of Defense: (Address: Yerevan, Babayan St. 4, Tel. 010-28-74-41)

  • • A photocopy of the discharge order,
  • • Photocopies of the passports of the beneficiary and their family members (with originals),
  • • A photocopy of the marriage (or divorce) certificate (with originals),
  • • A certificate from the passport office regarding the registration addresses of the beneficiary and their family members,
  • • Photocopies of the ownership certificates of the residential property (house/apartment) of the beneficiary and their family members (with originals), as well as information about the registered individuals in those residences from the passport office,
  • • A certificate from the homeowners' association regarding the residents,
  • • A certificate from the relevant unit of the State Committee of Real Estate Cadastre under the Government of Armenia, regarding the acquisition and/or loss of residential property rights in the territory of Armenia over the last 5 years under the name of the beneficiary and their family members,
  • • A certificate from the relevant authority for individuals registered in the disaster zone or affected by disasters, or for refugees, indicating that they are not provided with housing or relevant certificates for acquiring it.

It is mandatory to wear a protective mask.

Military pensioners who are unable to submit these documents in person may send them by mail to Yerevan, Babayan St. 4," the statement adds.
