ICRC Representatives in Contact with Families of Individuals Captured on November 16
Representatives of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) continue discussions with the Azerbaijani authorities and relevant bodies aimed at visiting individuals captured as a result of Azerbaijani provocations on November 16.
Zara Amatuni, head of the ICRC communication programs in Armenia, informed News that they are in contact with the families of the captured individuals.
The European Court of Human Rights issued a ruling on November 25, calling for urgent measures concerning four individuals taken captive, approving a request from human rights defenders.
The ECHR has given Baku until December 1, which is today, to provide information regarding the military personnel captured on November 16. The representative of Armenia has lodged a complaint regarding the urgent measures to be taken in the European Court.
“Our main dialogue is taking place with the relevant bodies and representatives of the authorities, and only their official confirmation serves as a basis for requesting a visit. We continue to stay in contact with those who are looking for their relatives,” stated Zara Amatuni, head of the ICRC communication programs in Armenia.
