CNN Fires Notable Host for Assisting Former New York Governor

American television network CNN has suspended its host, former New York Governor Chris Cuomo, indefinitely, and his show will no longer air. This was reported by the network.

The decision comes in light of a recently released document that disclosed details about the host's collaboration with his brother, Andrew Cuomo. According to the document, Chris assisted Andrew when he was accused of misconduct by using his journalistic sources to help the case.

“When Chris told us that he had offered advice to his brother, he violated our rules, but we understood the situation he was in, that family comes first for him. However, the documents point to a more significant degree of involvement in his brother’s affairs than we were previously aware of. As a result, we have suspended Chris indefinitely,” CNN stated.

The documents mention correspondence between the host and the New York Governor's secretary, in which he promises to gather necessary information. He also took the initiative to draft the texts for his brother's public speeches.

In August, the former governor was accused of misconduct. Following the investigation's release, President Biden stated that Cuomo should resign. The accused public figure, who denied the allegations, nonetheless stepped down from his position.
