VIDEO: 22-Year-Old Stabbed, Two Brothers Detained

On November 25, around 9 PM, the police department in Hrazdan received a report from a medical center that a 22-year-old young man had been admitted with a stab wound to the waist that was penetrating.

The police report indicates that the victim was undergoing surgery, making it impossible to gather any information from him about the incident.

A criminal case has been initiated by the Kotayk regional investigative department regarding the incident. The police first established where the stabbing occurred and then began operational inquiries at the crime scene to uncover the crime with fresh evidence.

Utilizing the information gathered, Hrazdan criminal investigators detained two brothers living in the Vanatur neighborhood of the city. It later emerged that the elder brother, aged 21, had argued with the victim over personal matters near the railway crossing on the Hrazdan-Zovaber road and had stabbed him.

The suspect has been presented to the Kotayk regional investigative department and has given a confession. Subsequent measures led to the discovery of the knife used in the crime, which the young man had thrown into the river. The investigation is ongoing.
