US Secretary of State Threatens Russia

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken has warned Russia about the impending consequences for "every action" taken against Ukraine. "Any escalatory action by Russia will raise serious concerns not only for the United States but also for Latvia, and the resumption of aggression will lead to serious consequences," Blinken stated during a joint press conference with Latvian counterpart Edgars Rinkēvičs, according to RIA Novosti.

The US Secretary of State also announced that the US will consult with partners on the issue of Russian troop deployments near the Ukrainian border. "We are deeply concerned by the movements occurring near Ukraine's borders. We know that Russia often combines such actions with efforts to destabilize the internal situation in the country," the American official added.
