Tuvalu, a nation located in Oceania, is set to become the first country in the world to relocate due to climate change, which has caused the nation to begin submerging. This was reported by Lenta.ru, noting that the country's Foreign Minister Simon Kofe filmed a video standing in water in early November for the UN climate conference.

According to the diplomat, due to global warming, the island's territory will be underwater, making it impossible to live there. For this reason, authorities have decided to completely relocate the population in the event of the worst-case scenario. At the same time, they are continuing to construct barriers to prevent ocean water from flooding the land.

About half of Tuvalu's residents have already moved to New Zealand.
