Misappropriators of the 'Armenia' Foundation's Funds Will Be Revealed and Punished: Artsvik Minasyan

If the investigative commission concludes that the funds transferred to the 'Armenia' Foundation from the budget were justified, regardless of political disagreements, will you announce that no problem existed and restore trust in the foundation? This was a question posed to the head of the commission, Artsvik Minasyan, by ruling party member Babken Tunyan.

In response, Artsvik Minasyan noted: 'Those who expect effective work from this commission should never have doubts regarding the commission's activities. Yes, as the head of the commission, I state publicly that our goal is to bring the truth to light, to establish or refute the legality of the use of funds. If there are misappropriations, we will take appropriate steps to reveal those responsible and initiate punitive proceedings. We will do everything possible to recover the ineffective or illegally used funds, as well as restore the tarnished reputation of the Republic of Armenia. After all, the 'Armenia' Foundation has been one of the most established institutions in the history of Armenia during its years of independence.'

Minasyan emphasized that the existing suspicions within the public must be alleviated. 'If there are no offenders, what is stopping us from announcing this? We are discussing a crucial institution of our homeland. I believe that we, including the ruling party members, have no inhibitions about inviting any official involved in the use of the foundation’s funds here to answer questions, starting from the President of the Republic and the Prime Minister,' he said.
