Flights Canceled at Istanbul Airports
All flights have been suspended at Istanbul airports due to a storm. This was reported by Turkish Airlines, advising travelers to check flight information on the airlines' websites or call centers, as reported by РИА Новости.
"At this moment, registration for departing flights from Istanbul has been suspended due to strong winds. Regarding aircraft already in the air, the possibility of landing them at other airports is currently being assessed," stated a representative.
It is noted that a strong storm has been affecting Istanbul for the second day. Earlier, it was reported that six people have died due to the storm, and another 46 have been injured. Schools in the city have also been closed.
The authorities have also indicated that disabled individuals and pregnant women may not have to go to work today.
