Azerbaijani Forces Withdraw from the Ishkhanasar Area

Azerbaijan's armed forces have withdrawn from the vicinity of Ishkhanasar, village head Marat Petrosyan told Sputnik Armenia.

"They are no longer there where the battles were taking place," Petrosyan said. He did not know how far the Azerbaijanis had withdrawn, nor was he aware if Armenian military personnel had been deployed in those positions.

The village head specifically confirmed that the Azerbaijanis had retreated from a section of the Ishkhanasar Mountain, where they had built a road.

Residents of the village informed Sputnik Armenia that news of the Azerbaijanis' withdrawal became known yesterday.
