Saakashvili to Attend Court Hearing

The former President of Georgia, Mikheil Saakashvili, is reportedly set to attend a court hearing related to the dispersal of a rally on November 7, 2007, which is expected to begin in the coming hours, according to the opposition Formula television channel.

According to the channel, a vehicle belonging to the prison service had recently left the area of the military hospital in Gori, which is typically used for transporting inmates.

The prison service has yet to make an official statement regarding whether the former president will be brought to court. This will be Saakashvili's third trial in Tbilisi since his arrest, but he has not been present at any of the previous hearings.

As stated by the Minister of Justice of Georgia, Rati Bregadze, on November 22, if Saakashvili's health allows, he will be transported to the court.
