Video: Presidents of Turkey and Iran Meet
During a visit to Turkmenistan aimed at participating in the 15th summit of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO), Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan held bilateral talks with Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi.
The meeting between the two leaders took place in a closed press setting at the 'Karakum' hotel and lasted half an hour, as reported by the Anadolu Agency.
It is noteworthy that Iran's Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, who is accompanying President Raisi on this visit to Turkmenistan, met and held discussions with his Azerbaijani counterpart Jeyhun Bayramov in Ashgabat.
During the meeting, the two ministers discussed issues of mutual interest. Amir-Abdollahian welcomed the trilateral meeting held in Sochi among the leaders of Russia, Azerbaijan, and Armenia, considering it an important, effective, and constructive step towards overcoming the crisis in the region. The Azerbaijani Foreign Minister, in turn, emphasized the importance of implementing joint projects involving both countries and other neighboring nations.
