The significance of the secret button placed on the desk of Russian President Vladimir Putin has been revealed. It is intended for calling an assistant, as reported during a broadcast on the 'Rossiya 1' TV channel.

'The television operators leave, while the adjacent desk prepares for long negotiations. There is a special button on the president’s desk, which is necessary to call for an assistant or to bring tea,' it was noted during the broadcast.

Russian President's press secretary Dmitry Peskov also mentioned that the head of state has a special communication phone. It is specifically designed to summon various officials. Peskov clarified that these include government leadership, heads of departments, administration leaders, and many other subscribers.

'The president actively uses all means of communication at his disposal,' added the representative of the head of state.
