Former Head of the State Revenue Committee Appointed Governor of Armavir

Edward Hovhannisyan has been appointed as the Governor of Armavir. The decision was made by the Government of Armenia.

“Guided by the second part of Article 160 of the Constitution of the Republic of Armenia and the first part of Article 6 of the Law on Territorial Administration, the Government of the Republic of Armenia decides to appoint Edward Hovhannisyan as the Governor of Armavir,” the document states.

From June 2020 until August 4, 2021, Edward Hovhannisyan served as the head of the State Revenue Committee.
