What is Happening on the Goris-Kapan Road: Attempting to Clarify Details
A video was recently circulated in Azerbaijani media stating that Azerbaijani SOCAR has installed a gas station on the Goris-Kapan road.
Auroranews attempted to clarify the situation by reaching out to Irina Yolyan, the authorized representative of the 'Arush Arushanyan' alliance, regarding what is happening on that road and what kind of gas station the Azerbaijanis are constructing.
Ms. Yolyan indicated that she could not provide answers to these questions as the section of the road is currently closed to Armenians, and we cannot see what work the Azerbaijanis are carrying out there.
"This section of the road has been closed to us for a long time. Previously, when construction was taking place in that area, the building resembled a gas station, but nothing can be said definitively," she noted.
