Tashchyan Communicated via WhatsApp with Hikmet Hajiyev, One of Ilham Aliyev's Most Loyal Associates: Tatoul Hakobian

Journalist Tatoul Hakobian has published an article stating that former NSS chief Arthur Vanetsyan recently revisited the topic of confidential negotiations with Azerbaijan on November 25. He announced that there was another official, in addition to himself, who participated in these negotiations that took place between 2018 and 2019. However, Mr. Vanetsyan did not disclose the name of the second official.

According to reliable information from the ANI Center, the second official is diplomat Hrachya Tashchyan. If Vanetsyan met with his Azerbaijani counterpart, then Mr. Tashchyan was communicating via WhatsApp with Hikmet Hajiyev, one of Ilham Aliyev's most loyal people.

Mr. Tashchyan has held many important positions in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, including head of the NATO division, chargé d'affaires at the Armenian Embassy in the USA, and from 2009 to 2011, head of the Department of External Relations of the Government Staff. Tashchyan was the assistant to Prime Minister Pashinyan from 2018 to 2020, and on July 8, 2020, he was appointed head of the Department of External Relations of the Prime Minister's Office.

In a conversation with Auroranews, the Department of External Relations attempted to confirm this information. An employee noted that Tashchyan is on a business trip, and they cannot establish contact with him.
