Protest Movement Closes Street in Yerevan Again
The protest movement staged another act of civil disobedience today by blocking one of Yerevan's central streets. Participants urged citizens to "wake up" and join the fight.
The movement's members closed the street for only a few minutes before being forcibly detained by riot police. Among those detained is lawyer Ara Zohrapyan.
It is worth noting that the three main demands of the protest movement are to disclose the content of the document to be signed by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, to not grant a corridor through Syunik to Turkey, and to arm the military.
The initiators of the movement include lawyer Ara Zohrapyan, former MP Sofia Hovsepyan, and journalist Nairi Hokehikyan.
