We Need to Form a Nationwide Demand: Ishkhan Saghatelyan

Believing in the words of the current government is self-deception; hoping that this government can lead the country out of this situation is also an unwise and shortsighted hope. This was stated by the Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly, Ishkhan Saghatelyan, during a speech in parliament. He emphasized that there is a need to unite, to form a real resistance, a nationwide demand, and to remove this government as soon as possible.

"This is the path by which we can take the country out of this situation. There has been much discussion about unity and consolidation. We have repeatedly declared that this is not a problem of one force, one person, or one organization; it is a problem of the Armenian people. There are people in this podium from various political forces and NGOs, and what unites us all is one idea—the idea of saving the homeland," said the Deputy Speaker.

Ishkhan Saghatelyan stressed that one of the most important issues is to form a demand and show that this government does not have the mandate to lead the country to new concessions or to further capitulation. "The authorities have repeatedly claimed that they have confidence from the people and will do whatever they want. Our task is to show that they do not have that mandate. We can resolve the issues facing our country only through the removal of this government," he said.
