Video: UAZ for Jragatents, but a Luxury Car for Alen Simonian? Journalist Questions Minister

The vehicle serving the Speaker of the National Assembly, Alen Simonian, is from 2010 and has certainly become worn out over time, necessitating its replacement.

This was stated by the Minister of High-Tech Industry, Vahagn Khachaturyan, during a conversation with journalists regarding the plans to purchase a luxury car for the Speaker of the National Assembly.

In response to the observation that UAZ vehicles are being provided for the residents of border village Jragatents, while a luxury car is being allocated for Alen Simonian, Vahagn Khachaturyan noted that it is justified to some extent since a UAZ-type vehicle is needed in Jragatents.

“It’s not clear that there should only be UAZs or Nivas in Jragatents. Next year, the road will be in such condition that we'll be able to suggest buying a good, fast bus. We all understand that right now the road is needed, and the construction of the road is underway,” emphasized Vahagn Khachaturyan.
