Pashinyan Has Given the Territories from Goris to Kapan Without Much Thought, Bagratyan

I do not have high expectations from the Pashinyan-Putin-Aliyev meeting. Perhaps some document will be signed, but it will not be the case that a document is signed and everything will be resolved. Former Prime Minister of Armenia Hrant Bagratyan said this during a conversation with reporters in the National Assembly, adding that Turkey and Azerbaijan will systematically suffocate us.

In response to the question of whether any document regarding demarcation or delimitation could be signed, Bagratyan noted that demarcation and delimitation are not one-time acts; they are processes that will take decades, and Azerbaijan and Turkey will delay it.

Referring to the Prime Minister's statement during an online press conference that Armenia and Azerbaijan recognized each other’s territorial integrity when they joined the UN, Bagratyan stated that this is an absurd statement because there is no territory of Armenia or Azerbaijan that is clear. “No one knows where Armenia begins. They enter and occupy our territory, but claim that it is theirs. Nikol Pashinyan has given the territories from Goris to Kapan without much thought. This is tantamount to betrayal,” said Bagratyan. He mentioned that we have a task to save the country. Bagratyan believes that the issue of the return of refugees will follow after the territories.

When asked what actions he proposes, Bagratyan replied that he would become the Prime Minister and address the issue.
