Did Armenia Appeal to CSTO or Russia? Zakharova's Commentary

The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, addressed the mediation efforts demonstrated by Russia against the backdrop of Azerbaijani attacks on November 16 during her weekly briefing.

“As a result of Russia's effective mediation efforts, tensions along the border have been alleviated. We continue to monitor the situation at the border, conducting communications with both Armenian and Azerbaijani counterparts through our military personnel and border guards,” said the Russian Foreign Ministry representative while responding to a question about Armenia's appeal to the CSTO or Russia following the border events on November 16.

The diplomat did not specify whether an official request had been made or not.
