Defense Ministry Officer Crashes Mitsubishi Pajero into Concrete Barriers, One Injured
Today, on November 24, a major traffic accident occurred in the Shirak region. At approximately 13:35, 48-year-old Ashot G. crashed his Mitsubishi Pajero into concrete barriers on the 88th kilometer of the Yerevan-Gyumri highway under unknown circumstances.
According to photojournalist Гагик Шамшяне at the scene, one person was taken to Gyumri medical center with bodily injuries. Nearby citizens were the first to provide assistance, and doctors and rescuers from the Ministry of Emergency Situations' Ani Fire and Rescue Unit No. 51 acted promptly.
The firefighters disconnected the vehicle's power supply, cordoned off the area, and with the help of citizens and road construction workers, moved the injured person closer to the ambulance.
While senior investigators David Asatryan and Nairi Gasparyan were conducting a field investigation, traffic police discovered that the driver serves in the Armenian Ministry of Defense's military unit No. N, prompting a report to the Military Police's Gyumri division, from where military police personnel arrived at the scene.
