Suspected of Murdering 65-Year-Old Man in Tavush Province Found
According to SHAMSHYAN.com, today, on November 23, during large-scale operational and investigative activities conducted by the head of the Main Department of Criminal Police Vardan Vardanyan, the head of the Tavush Regional Police Sergey Avetisyan, the head of the Tavush Division Arthur Lobyans, and the Tavush Regional Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Armenia, a 39-year-old resident of one of the villages in Tavush Province, Hambardzum O., was apprehended by the Tavush Police.
As reported by photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, Hambardzum O. is suspected of murdering his fellow villager, 65-year-old Khachatur S. on October 15. According to G. Shamshyan, Hambardzum O. has been arrested by decision of the investigator.
The preliminary investigation of the criminal case initiated on the grounds of murder is ongoing. As SHAMSHYAN.com reported earlier, a murder occurred in Tavush Province on October 16. At around 09:40, the Emergency Situations Ministry's rescue service 9-11 operational management center received a call regarding a male body in a creek in the forested area of the inter-village section between Tavush and Paravakar settlements, within the administrative territory of Vazashen village.
Emergency responders from the Tavush regional rescue service arrived at the scene promptly. The rescuers recovered the body of 65-year-old Khachatur Sulian, a resident of Aigedzor village in Tavush Province from the site.
