It Creates an Impression that Armenia Has Simply Been Given Time to Agree to Azerbaijan's Preconditions: MP
When the ceasefire was established, the first concern that arose for me was about the price of that ceasefire, what led to the halt of military operations. This was stated by Tigran Abrahamyan, a member of the 'Honorary' faction, during a press briefing.
'In reality, the grounds, the threats that existed, and the military-political situation that has emerged around Armenia and Artsakh has not diminished in any way. In this case, the situation continues to carry high risks not only regarding possible developments in the situation but also in terms of negotiations. I mention this considering the statements coming from the Azerbaijani side,' Abrahamyan said.
The MP noted that these statements create the impression that Armenia has simply been given time to agree to Azerbaijan's preconditions or processes that align with Azerbaijani interests.
Referring to Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's statements regarding receiving proposals from Russia on demarcation and delimitation, the MP said that Pashinyan is trying to create the impression among the public that the process is happening within the framework of harmonizing the overall interests of Armenian-Russian relations. 'He is trying to demonstrate that the processes currently taking place are in the interest of the Republic of Armenia, regarding which I naturally have considerable doubts,' Tigran Abrahamyan remarked.
