Gunshots Heard Last Night in Verin Shorzha: How the Last 2 Days Have Been in Border Areas

ArmDaily.am has contacted several border villages to find out how the last 2 days have been. "Gunshots were heard last night, but our forces silenced the enemy with return fire," said Artem Yeranosyan, the head of the Verin Shorzha community, in a conversation with the news outlet, adding that there were no other incidents, and the population is not in panic.

Marat Petrosyan, the head of the administrative district of Ishkhanasar in the Syunik region, also stated that it was quiet in Ishkhanasar last night. He expressed confidence that the situation will remain calm. "Since November 17, it will continue to remain calm. They came, tried, saw that their teeth don't withstand the resilience, and retreated," said Petrosyan. He noted that the situation is calm, people are concerned with their daily affairs, and transportation connections with Sisian continue as usual.

Tavush region governor Haik Ghalumyan also mentioned that no gunfire has been heard in the region since the Ministry of Defense's report. "The situation in the region is calm, but I cannot say in which villages gunshots were heard two days ago; that does not fall within my authorities, please check with the Ministry of Defense," said Ghalumyan.
