Police Disrupt Meeting of Notorious Criminal Figures in Yerevan

The newspaper "Zhoghovurd" reports: "Yesterday, the police officially announced that extensive operational measures had yielded credible information regarding several individuals, considered criminal authorities, who were preparing to meet on November 16 for clarification purposes. There were also reliable reports that they were in possession of illegal weapons and that the clarifications could end in an armed confrontation, which was ultimately prevented.

Three men, aged 35, 37, and 39, all residents of Yerevan, were detained on Myasnikyan Avenue, and a "Makarov" pistol with six bullets was discovered during a search of one of them. As a result of the operation, three individuals were taken to the police's Central Department. One of them is 39-year-old Vardges Isipyanyan, known in the criminal world as Monument Vardges, another is 35-year-old Arthur Pkhoaryan, known as Ruzh from the Third District, and the other is 37-year-old Armen Harutyunyan, known as Armenchik from the Third District.

Whom were they planning to meet? Following the incident, remarkable details emerged, particularly that the three men detained on Myasnikyan Avenue intended to meet with "thief-in-law" Andranik Sogoyan, known as Zap, and Maskovsky Aramch, who recently returned from Moscow and is considered an authority in the criminal circles, as he is a relative of one of the parliament members. According to our sources, law enforcement also detained some "thieves-in-law."
