Ministry of Defense Plans One Month of Training Gatherings: Details

The Ministry of Defense of Armenia is set to conduct training gatherings for reservists from November 18 to December 18, 2021.

“Guided by Article 58, Part 2 of the Law of the Republic of Armenia on ‘Military Service and the Status of Military Personnel,’ the Government of the Republic of Armenia decides to announce training gatherings for reservists registered in the first class of the first group of the reserve, for one month from November 18 to December 18, 2021,” the decision states.

It is established that the training gatherings are intended for the enhancement and retraining of the military capabilities of reservists, in accordance with the contracts signed with them, and for their engagement in combat duty as necessary.

A total of up to 202 citizens will be involved in the training gatherings, including 161 from the ranks, 28 from the sub-officer corps, and 13 from the officers' reserve.

The Minister of Health of the Republic of Armenia is tasked with ensuring the medical examination of the reservists involved in the gatherings according to the territorial units of the recruitment and mobilization service of the Ministry of Defense.

The Minister of Defense of the Republic of Armenia is authorized to release the citizens involved in the training gatherings from service if the need ceases during the period of the gatherings.

This decision enters into force on the tenth day following its official publication.
