Does that man not feel ashamed when his soldiers are laying down their arms en masse and being captured? – Pashoyan to the Prime Minister
A few months ago, the person occupying the position of Prime Minister, who is also the commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces, declared to the world that Armenia is not going to get involved in a war over 30 percent of Lake Sevan. This was stated by journalist and publicist Karpis Pashoyan on his Facebook page.
He specifically noted: “After all this, the same person tries to shift the responsibility for the territorial and positional losses of November 17 onto the captured servicemen. If the Prime Minister, scared of war, refuses to fight for the territorial integrity of Armenia, then what do you think a soldier would sacrifice himself for some combat position? After the flight of the commander-in-chief, are you expecting someone to become a martyr? Does that man not feel ashamed when his soldiers are laying down their arms en masse and being captured? Does he not feel bad about it, does blood not flow from his heart, or does he not care and is ready to even turn the soldiers who faced a tragic fate into pawns for his political manipulations? Let him ask himself what he has done to prevent these boys from being captured.
Or for what purpose should they fight if they have a firm conviction that the positions have already been surrendered by verbal agreement? Why would they blow themselves up if they are convinced that no one is going to come to their aid and they are merely going to become statistics? Soldiers only go into heroism when they feel the breath of the state behind them, when they have the presence of a strong commander, and when they are convinced that their death is not in vain.
Alright, let’s assume the boys have committed a crime and laid down their arms, but why didn’t you send additional forces to hold the positions afterward? Because you don’t care about those positions, but you blame the people for not blowing themselves up with grenades?”
