Defense Ministry Denies Reports of Capturing Azerbaijani Soldiers

The Ministry of Defense of Armenia has refuted reports circulating in the media and on social networks regarding the alleged capture of six Azerbaijani soldiers by Armenian forces on November 14 and their subsequent secret return.

In response to an inquiry from Armenpress, the information and public relations department of the Ministry stated: “Reports are circulating in the media and social networks that, due to clashes resulting from Azerbaijani provocations in the eastern direction of the Armenian border on November 14, the Armenian side captured six Azerbaijani soldiers and subsequently returned them secretly to the public. To what extent does this news correspond with reality?”

- “It has absolutely no relation to reality. It is more than obvious that in such a situation, the Armenian side would carry out at least a reciprocal exchange of prisoners.”
