Coronavirus will become less dangerous: Bill Gates
Microsoft founder and billionaire Bill Gates has stated that by next summer, the coronavirus will become less dangerous. During a speech at Michael Bloomberg's New Economic Forum, the entrepreneur discussed potential scenarios for the pandemic's development.
"Perhaps the number of deaths will even be lower than that of seasonal flu, if the emergence of new strains does not present surprises, which can never be ruled out," he said.
Gates emphasized that this discussion is now possible due to the successful application of modern methods for preventing and treating COVID-19, particularly vaccinations. He also noted that a convergence of the morbidity and mortality rates of coronavirus infections and the flu would signal a complete economic recovery.
