Arrest Made in Explosion Case at Kotayk Resident's Home

The Kotayk Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee, in connection with the ongoing criminal case, has revealed several circumstances surrounding the explosion that occurred in the backyard of a Kotayk community resident’s house, as well as the identity of the alleged perpetrator. The suspect, a 34-year-old male resident of Yerevan born in 1989, has been detained as a result of extensive investigative and procedural actions carried out by the investigative department and operational-search measures undertaken by RA police officials.

It is noteworthy that on November 13, 2021, at approximately 02:00, the detained individual allegedly threw an explosive device into the backyard of a private residence in the Kotayk community, with the intent to cause damage to someone else's property, resulting in an explosion.

The investigation is ongoing.
