Rustam Muradov recalled from vacation, will be in Armenia tonight: Avagyan

The Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation, Sergey Shoigu, has recalled Rustam Muradov, the Deputy Commander of the Southern Military District, from vacation and dispatched him to Armenia. The former commander of the peacekeeping forces in Artsakh will be in Armenia tonight to personally conduct negotiations with the Azerbaijani side.

This information was reported to “Pastinfo” by Colonel Boris Avagyan, who is engaged in issues related to the return of prisoners of war. Muradov's vacation was supposed to last until December 5, and his recall could only be ordered by the Minister of Defense of the country.

The goal is clear: only Muradov can conduct tough negotiations with the Azerbaijanis. “The Russian authorities believe that only Rustam Muradov can conduct these tough negotiations in the current situation. When he was the commander of the peacekeepers, the Azerbaijanis did not dare to provoke,” Avagyan noted.
