Russia Has Proposed Demarcation and Delimitation Process Three Times: Pashinyan

During a Q&A session in the National Assembly, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated, “I announced back in May 2021 at a government meeting that I was ready to sign the proposal on the table at that time to start the process of demarcation and delimitation.”

Pashinyan emphasized, “Before and after the election period, I have stated that I consider it extremely important to initiate and complete the demarcation and delimitation process. Since May and thereafter, Russia has put forward the proposal three times, and each time we agreed to move forward with that process. In my impression, the process has not moved from the spot due to Azerbaijan delaying the process or not providing a specific response.”

He added, “I believe that the peaceful resolution of the border situation is extremely important, and our previous proposals are still valid, including starting the process of delimitation and demarcation.”
