Armenia's Foreign Ministry Has Already Informed the President of the UN Security Council: Spokesperson Elaborates

The spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia has responded to media inquiries.

In response to a question regarding an appeal to the Russian Federation, he stated the following: “The Republic of Armenia is in direct and multi-level contact with its ally, Russia. As you know, there was a phone conversation between the Prime Minister of Armenia and the President of Russia, during which Nikol Pashinyan presented the situation to Vladimir Putin.

In this context, the leaders of the two countries have discussed possible joint actions, the implementation of which is anchored in bilateral legal agreements and is in line with allied relations.”

Regarding the appeal to the UN Security Council, he said: “The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia has already informed the President of the UN Security Council about the situation that has arisen. We would like to emphasize that all tools of international law and diplomatic practice are being considered to protect the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the Republic of Armenia.”
