Fight on Moldovan Street: Gunshots Heard
On November 12, at 00:25, a report was received by the Nor Nork police department about a fight on Moldovan Street, accompanied by the sound of gunshots. This information was confirmed by the police.
Operational groups and police officers from the patrol service of the Yerevan police department were dispatched to the scene. Through joint operational-investigative measures, the criminal investigation and Nor Nork divisions of the Yerevan police department established that at 00:20, a group of young people had argued in a computer gaming hall and assaulted each other, causing bodily harm. Four individuals who were injured refused forensic medical examination.
Measures are being taken to identify and locate all participants in the incident. An investigation is underway.
UPDATE: A criminal case was initiated regarding the incident on November 12 under Article 258 (Hooliganism) part 4 and Article 235 (Acquisition, Sale, Storage, Transport, or Carrying of Weapons, Military Equipment, Explosives or Explosive Devices) part 1 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia.
Thanks to the joint operational-investigative measures conducted by the criminal investigation and Nor Nork divisions of the Yerevan police department, the identities of those involved in the incident were established. During the investigation, a decision was made to involve and arrest male suspects aged 24, 26, and 22 in the criminal case.
As a result of explanatory work by the Nor Nork detectives, the 24 and 26-year-old men presented themselves to the Nor Nork police department at 00:59 on November 15. They were arrested and presented to the investigative body. The investigation continues.
