Vehicle Reduced to Ashes: Couple and Their Minor Children Transferred to Hospital

Today, on November 13, a major traffic accident and fire occurred in the Vayots Dzor region.

At approximately 15:40, a collision took place between a VAZ-2106 and a Howo truck on the 16 km stretch of the Getap-Martuni highway. According to photojournalist Gagik Shamsyan, as a result of the accident, the Howo veered off the roadway and partially hung over the edge of the ravine, while a significant fire erupted in the VAZ-2106.

Firefighters extinguished the fire in the VAZ-2106, but the vehicle was completely reduced to ashes.

As a result of the accident and fire, six individuals with bodily injuries were transferred to the "Yeghegnadzor" medical center. The police are investigating the identities of the drivers and the injured.

According to site information, the driver of the VAZ-2106 and the passengers are his wife and their four minor children.
