59-Year-Old Driver Hits Pedestrian Near 'Hayrenik' Market

Today, on November 13, a fatal accident occurred in Yerevan. Around 7:00 AM, 59-year-old Borik M. hit a male pedestrian with his BYD vehicle on Garegin Nzhdeh Street, in front of the 'Hayrenik' market.

The driver did not flee the scene and called for Yerevan's emergency services. The medical team that arrived promptly confirmed the pedestrian's death.

The pedestrian had crossed the street at a restricted area, despite the availability of an underground passage at his crossing point. The driver, who caused the accident, stated that he had struck the pedestrian, but later indicated that another vehicle had also been involved in hitting the individual.
