VIDEO: Azerbaijanis Turn the Royal Springs Park of Tigranaker of into a Barbecue Spot

Azerbaijanis have transformed the Royal Springs Park of Tigranaker into a barbecue spot. This was reported by the Monument Watch organization, which monitors the cultural heritage sites in Artsakh.

“After the 44-day war, Tigranaker in Artsakh also came under Azerbaijani control. Next to the basin excavated by the archaeological team of Tigranaker, the Azerbaijanis have built a concrete platform and installed barbecue grills, one of which is placed right next to the excavated basin. During the Soviet era, Azerbaijanis converted the fortress built in the mid-18th century next to the springs into a restaurant. It should be noted that from 2010 until the 44-day war, the archaeological museum of Tigranaker was located in the fortress, and the area of the royal springs park was renovated and served as a venue for cultural events,” the organization's statement reads.

Experts refer to a video posted by Azerbaijani journalist Sadet Mamedova on her YouTube channel on October 31, 2021, which shows that the Royal Springs Park of Tigranaker has been turned into a barbecue spot.
