Video: Three Villages Face Blockade - What Response Did the NSS Provide to the MP?

During a protest held in front of the government building, Anna Grigoryan, an MP from the "Armenia" faction of the National Assembly, stated that she has been raising concerns for two months about Azerbaijani construction activities in Syunik. "I am asking what they are building. Is it possible that what they have constructed poses security threats for us? Just yesterday, the so-called head of the NSS announced that a customs checkpoint has been established there, and in response, we have supposedly also built our customs checkpoint. For whom have we constructed that checkpoint?" said Grigoryan.

According to the MP, she has sent inquiries to various agencies, and the NSS responded that there has been a verbal agreement between the Armenian and Russian border troops to ensure uninterrupted traffic on that road. "Today, we see that this road is far from uninterrupted. The Kapan-Jakaten road is also under threat," Grigoryan stated.

She noted that after this protest, she plans to travel along that road to understand how to navigate through it safely. In addition, Grigoryan mentioned that they intend to enter the government building to demand answers regarding the basis on which the Azerbaijani customs checkpoint was allowed to be established in Armenian territory.
