Gunshots in Yerevan: Suspects Detained

Gunshots were heard in Yerevan today. Around 00:25, the operational management center of the Armenian police received a call reporting gunfire on Moldovan Street in the Nor-Nork administrative district.

According to Shamshyan.com, police established that the shots were fired in a computer gaming hall on Moldovan Street, where they discovered a bullet fired from a firearm and blood-like traces during their inspection.

Law enforcement agencies found that at approximately 00:20 on the same day, residents of Yerevan, 24-year-old Mekhak S., 26-year-old Gevorg A., an individual named Artur, and another named Albert had quarreled with residents of Moldovan Street: 26-year-old Artak S., 25-year-old Gegham V., and 27-year-old Varazdat M., as well as 27-year-old Arman P. from Totovents Street, during which they exchanged blows, causing bodily injuries to one another.

A criminal case has been initiated regarding the incident. The police and investigative department are undertaking necessary operational and investigative joint actions to clarify the circumstances of the case, identify the individuals whose identities have not yet been established, and locate the weapon used in the crime.

According to the photojournalist, four individuals have been detained but later released.
