It is noteworthy that our team started the game actively and had several dangerous moments in the first 15 minutes. In the 11th minute, Norberto Briasco reached the opponent's penalty area and passed the ball to Henrikh Mkhitaryan, but the latter failed to finish the attack. Two minutes later, Tigran Barseghyan sent the ball to Briasco near the opponent's goal, but Briasco's header went off target.
In the 22nd minute, the opponent managed to break through our defense, bypassing Kamo Hovhannisyan, Erik Vardanyan, Andre Chalisheh, and Hovhannes Hambardzumyan, and found the back of the net defended by David Yurchenko. The scorer was Aleksandar Trajkovski.
In the 31st minute, in a mixed situation, the ball reached Norberto Briasco, but after his pass, Tigran Barseghyan was unable to score against the opponent's goal.
In the 36th minute, Enis Bardhi scored with a long-range shot into Yurchenko's net.
The second half also saw our team start actively, but again failed to find success. In the 64th minute, Hovhannes Hambardzumyan fouled the opponent's captain, Enis Bardhi, in the penalty area. The referee awarded a penalty to the opponent, and Bardhi converted it into the net, securing a brace.
As the game progressed, North Macedonia increased their pressure on our players, and in the 79th minute, Milan Ristovski covered significant ground with the ball, bypassed Hovhannes Hambardzumyan, and scored his team's fourth goal.
In the 89th minute, Davit Terteryan fouled the opponent, resulting in another penalty awarded to North Macedonia. Once again, Enis Bardhi stepped up and scored, completing his hat-trick.
As a result, the Armenian national team lost all possible chances to qualify for the 2022 World Cup. On November 14, our team will host the German national team on home soil.
