This is Absurd: The Current Government Cannot Investigate the Allegations of Its Own Crimes, Says Tkhaguhy Tovmasyan
The alleged perpetrator cannot investigate their own crime allegations. This is absurd. This was stated today during a conversation with reporters by Tkhaguhy Tovmasyan, a member of the "We Have Honor" faction, addressing the formation of a commission to investigate the circumstances of the 44-day war.
The member emphasized that it is impossible to expect objectivity from that commission: "The current government cannot investigate the allegations of its own crimes. I said this very specifically because people who held positions during the war are involved in that commission. It is clear that if the investigation reaches a point where it becomes clear that the accusation is inevitable, naturally, everything will be done so that the accusation is not realized, and no investigation is conducted," Tovmasyan said, adding, "If there had been a change of government and we had the example of the April investigative commission, it would be clear that the government has changed, and the incoming government is investigating the actions of its predecessor, but the current government cannot investigate its own actions; this is absurd."
