Turkey's Defense Minister Addresses Armenia from Azerbaijan
Turkey’s Defense Minister Hulusi Akar, accompanied by the Chief of General Staff Yaşar Güler, has arrived in Azerbaijan to participate in events commemorating the end of the 44-day war over Artsakh.
“A future cannot be built on the basis of hatred and malice towards each other. This must finally be understood in Yerevan as well. Armenia must set aside enmity and look to the future,” Akar stated, as reported by Anadolu Agency.
“The brotherhood between Azerbaijan and Turkey is unbreakable. It has been, it is, and it will be. Today, it is important to ensure the durability of stability and peace in the region. In this regard, the Declaration of Shusha has become an important step,” the Turkish minister added.
Akar emphasized that “the authorities in Armenia must reconsider their policies and take advantage of the historical opportunity to expand cooperation in the region, including through the '3+3' platform.”
