Brawl in Kapan: Injured Individual and Detention of Russian Citizens

On November 8, an extraordinary incident occurred in the Syunik province. Around 01:35 AM, the command center of the Armenian police received a call from an unidentified citizen, reporting that Russian soldiers were arguing with employees of a gas station near the Dzork neighborhood in the city of Kapan while armed.

Police revealed that on the same day, at approximately 01:30 AM, citizens of the Russian Federation, 41-year-old Evgeny Galanov, 41-year-old Evgeny Dyanov, and 50-year-old Pyotr Gorbulak, entered the "Smart" supermarket operating at 1/3 address in the mentioned neighborhood. They had an altercation with a supermarket employee, 40-year-old Armen Avanesyan, a resident of Syunik province, pulling him away from the cash register and striking him in various parts of the body, causing bodily injuries.

It was also discovered that witnesses to the incident—Syunik province residents 23-year-old Aleksan Grigoryan, 22-year-old Mahan Martirosyan, and 33-year-old Artashes Manucharyan, a customer at the supermarket—attempted to calm the situation. However, the Russian citizens hurled sexual insults at them, as a result of which Е. Galanov sustained injuries to his head.

Е. Galanov, Е. Dyanov, and П. Gorbulak have been taken into custody by the Kapan police department, while А. Avanesyan with bodily injuries was transported to the Kapan medical center.

From the Russian citizens, Е. Galanov works as a warehouse manager at "Bastion" LLC, Е. Dyanov serves as the deputy director at the same company, and П. Gorbulak represents the "SMS" factory. The injured А. Avanesyan is a cashier at "Smart" LLC, while А. Grigoryan and В. Martirosyan are loaders at "Arkgaz" LLC.
