Young People Poisoned at Tashir Pizza Released from Martuni Medical Center

Two citizens who were poisoned from food at one of the branches of the "Tashir Pizza" food chain have been discharged from the Martuni Medical Center after receiving treatment. This information was disclosed to "Factinfo" by the head of the infectious diseases department, Manuk Yeritsyan.

“The children’s condition progressed without complications. They received intravenous treatment, symptomatic therapy, antipyretics, and a diet. The children are under supervision, they do not require infusion, and the results of the VAC test will be final in two days,” he said.

No new patients related to the poisoning incident have been hospitalized at the medical center.

It is noted that the poisoned individuals from the pizza chain, who received treatment at the Martuni Medical Center, are 18 and 22 years old. They were hospitalized on November 4, around 16:00, in serious condition and underwent appropriate treatment. They exhibited symptoms such as fever, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, weakness, and altered consciousness. The preliminary diagnosis was acute intestinal infection.

According to the physician, the hospitalized individuals reported that they had only eaten outside of their home once, and that was in Yerevan at the Tashir Pizza located on Khandzhyan Street, where they consumed pizza.

Additionally, according to the Ministry of Health, as of November 7 at 20:30, there have been 171 cases among those who visited the "Tashir Pizza" establishments, with 99 patients continuing to receive inpatient treatment. Their conditions are evaluated as mild to moderate, and 72 citizens have been discharged.
