Three Arrested on Suspicion of Murdering 36-Year-Old Man

The Investigative Committee of Armenia has initiated a criminal case under Article 104, Part 2, Clause 7 of the Criminal Code in the Malatia-Sebastia administrative district of Yerevan to clarify all circumstances surrounding the murder of a 36-year-old resident of Kotayk region. Investigative and procedural actions are currently underway.

The police received a report regarding the incident on November 8, 2021, around 00:40. A citizen notified the Malatia police about a knife attack at their residence.

Upon examination of the crime scene by the investigative-operational group, the body of the 36-year-old resident was found in the kitchen of the house, showing multiple stab and cut wounds on the head and various parts of the body. Six knives with blood-like traces were also found and collected from the scene.

Through immediate measures, the identities of the alleged perpetrators have been established. One of them is the victim's girlfriend, while the other two are his mother and brother.

The three individuals have been arrested on suspicion of intentionally taking the life of the 36-year-old man as a group. The investigation is ongoing.
