39-Year-Old Local Arrested in Connection with Death of 57-Year-Old Woman from Noyemberyan

On November 4, between 07:00 and 08:00, a dispute and altercation arose in the home of a 57-year-old resident of Noyemberyan between her and a 39-year-old local man. The man struck the woman in the face and head. The 57-year-old woman subsequently passed away at a medical center without regaining consciousness.

According to the statement from the Investigative Committee's Tavush Regional Investigation Department, the circumstances surrounding the death of the 57-year-old resident of Noyemberyan were clarified through investigative and procedural actions, as well as through operational measures taken by the RA police.

The investigation found that during the incident on November 4, 2021, between 07:00 and 08:00, a quarrel and struggle occurred between the 57-year-old woman and the 39-year-old man in her home. During the altercation, the man intentionally inflicted blows to the woman's face and head, causing her to fall multiple times. As a result, the woman sustained life-threatening injuries. She passed away at a medical center on November 5, 2021, around 05:30, without regaining consciousness.

An investigative experiment involving the 39-year-old man was conducted, and a forensic examination was scheduled. He has been arrested on suspicion of committing a crime as defined under Article 112, Section 2, Point 14 of the RA Criminal Code and has provided a confession. The pre-investigation continues.
