Ishkhan Zakaryan to Leave 'Honorable' Faction: 'Hraparak'

'Hraparak' newspaper reports: 'For a significant amount of time, there has been talk about Ishkhan Zakaryan, a member of the 'Honorable' faction, leaving the faction. Recently, Zakaryan informed the faction leadership that he has made a decision and will likely announce it soon. The process, which began months ago, perhaps from the very moment the new National Assembly was formed, has simply been frozen due to Arthur Vanetsyan's intervention.

According to our sources, he rebuked Zakaryan and urged him to give up his mandate if he plans to leave the faction. However, Zakaryan's allies in the ruling party, led by Khachatur Sukiasyan, have been more persistent. Our sources claim that the authorities have managed to detach Zakaryan from the opposition, and he will soon announce that he will continue his activities as an 'independent MP.'

Such cases have occurred multiple times in the National Assembly of Armenia, and despite attempts by the political force that brought the individual to parliament to reclaim the mandate from the 'traitor,' it has not succeeded. A classic example is Khachatur Kokobelyan, who joined with 'Heritage' in coalition, then separated from it and did not relinquish his mandate.

Incidentally, there are reports that Armen Charchyan, the director of Izmirlian Medical Center, may also resign his mandate. There are rumors that the MP has decided to accept the ruling party's condition to relinquish the mandate, be released, and return to the hospital for professional work.'
