There is a Road, But No Rails: Armen Grigoryan on the Horadiz-Meghri Route
The regional communications in the South Caucasus can be restored if billions of dollars are invested in them. This was announced by the Secretary of the Security Council, Armen Grigoryan, in an interview with Factor TV.
“You are aware that the possibility of unblocking the railway is being discussed. There is a road from Horadiz to Meghri for railway infrastructure. Let's put it this way—there is a road, but there are no rails; significant investments are needed. We are talking about investments amounting to billions of dollars. There must be a certain clarity on these issues in order to move forward,” he noted.
Grigoryan also added that “all investments are made within the sovereign capabilities of the respective state.”
