Employers Can Request Test Results Every 7 Days Instead of 14: New Restrictions

The Ministry of Health is set to propose changes to the frequency of PCR test submissions required by employers from employees. The suggested change is to revise the 14-day period to a 7-day period.

Health Minister Anahit Avanesyan, speaking to reporters after a government meeting, addressed questions regarding potential new restrictions, stating that a draft of the order will circulate today. “We will propose that starting December 1, the submission period for negative PCR test results at workplaces be changed from 14 days to 7 days,” she said.

If approved, the decision will take effect on December 1. The Minister also touched upon a recent complaint raised by ambulance drivers, noting that several drivers have voiced concerns, but the ambulance service continues to operate without interruptions. They are attentively listening to the employees' complaints and, through discussions, aim to understand what solutions need to be found to alleviate workload and revisit the salary fund. However, they aim to do this within the budgetary resources available for this year.
